The bottom line is that the correct laptop computer date was not syncing with the browser. That did not make sense as the laptop date/time was correct and synced with the Internet date/time. The initial error message indicated there was a problem with the laptop date/time. both of which happen "magically" without my knowledge. It is equally important that we get an ssl certificate for the same, for the users to trust the site and to remove the 'not secure' message. So it seems there must have been a conflict with Chrome updates and a Windows 7 update. Similarly, mozilla firefox browser will show your connection is not secure, and microsoft edge will display this site is not secure as. There were no hardware or software changes on my laptop. My desktop system never got this error although it has the exact same configuration as my Laptop. This "Not Secure" error on my Laptop started happing out of the blue for no obvious reason. The root cause lies with Chrome and Windows-7. This was not the fault of anyone at Shopify or with the SSL certificate. But I must say this has been an extremely frustrating experience consuming many hours of my time.

I believe this issue has been resolved after a Windows update.
